Guest Responsibilities

• Guests must respect all rules and guidelines of Cape York Hunting Lodge at all times.

• Pets are only permitted in designated areas and must be kept on a leash at all times.

• Guests are required to clean up after themselves and dispose of waste responsibly.

• No unauthorised visitors are permitted on the property without prior approval.

Conduct & Damage

• Guests must not engage in disruptive behaviour, excessive noise, or illegal activities.

• Any damage to accommodation, property, vehicles, equipment, or facilities must be reported immediately and may be charged to the guest.

• Cape York Hunting Lodge reserves the right to evict guests who breach these terms without refund.

Liability & Indemnity

• Guests acknowledge that staying on a remote, working property involves inherent risks, including but not limited to animals, firearms, uneven terrain, vehicles, and extreme weather conditions.

• Cape York Hunting Lodge is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death occurring on the property unless due to proven negligence.

• Guests accept full responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of children under their care.

Hunting Terms & Conditions

Legal Compliance

• All hunting activities must comply with Queensland and Australian laws and regulations.

• Guests are responsible for holding all required licences, permits, and approvals.

• Illegal hunting practices are strictly prohibited.

Firearms & Weapons

• Firearms must be transported, stored, and handled in accordance with Queensland firearms legislation.

• Firearms may only be discharged in approved hunting areas under the direction of lodge management.

• Alcohol or drugs must not be consumed before or during hunting activities.

Safety & Conduct While Hunting

• All hunters must attend and comply with safety briefings provided by Cape York Hunting Lodge.

• Guests must follow all instructions from guides at all times.

• Unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal from hunting activities without refund.

Game & Ethical Hunting

• Only approved species may be hunted.

• Ethical hunting practices must be followed at all times.

• Wounded game must be reported immediately, and all reasonable efforts must be made to recover it.

Assumption of Risk

• Guests acknowledge that hunting involves significant inherent risks, including serious injury or death.

• By participating in hunting activities, guests accept full responsibility for these risks and waive any claims against Cape York Hunting Lodge, except where negligence is proven.

Water Entry, Swimming & Natural Waterways Disclaimer

Assumption of Risk

• By entering or using any natural water sources on or around the property, guests do so entirely at their own risk.

• Waterways may be inhabited by crocodiles, snakes, and other dangerous wildlife.

No Lifeguards or Safety Guarantees

• There are no lifeguards, designated swimming areas, or supervision provided.

• Cape York Hunting Lodge makes no guarantees regarding water safety or protection from wildlife.

Personal Responsibility

• Guests are solely responsible for assessing risks before entering any body of water.

No Liability

• Cape York Hunting Lodge, its owners, employees, contractors, and guides are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or death resulting from swimming or water-related activities.

Parental Supervision

• Children must be supervised at all times near water.

• Parents or guardians accept full responsibility for minors in their care.

• Guests must comply with all signage, verbal warnings, and instructions relating to safety.
